How QWO® Works

QWO is an FDA-approved injectable used to treat cellulite. When expertly injected beneath the skin, the enzymes in QWO—called collagenases—target the structural cause of cellulite by breaking down the buildup of collagen in the fibrous bands, tethering bands that drag the skin downwards, causing skin dimpling. When these tethering bands are released, it allows the skin’s surface to retract back into a smoother, less dimpled appearance. This will improve skin texture and the appearance of cellulite.

What Do QWO® Treatments Feel Like?

Unlike more invasive cellulite treatments, QWO® is quick and easy to tolerate without the need for anesthesia. Beyond the slight pinch of the needle, most patients find QWO® treatments virtually painless. For best results, a series of three QWO® cellulite treatment visits spaced 21 days apart is recommended.

QWO® Safety & Recovery

QWO® has an excellent safety profile and has been studied in more patients than any other FDA-approved cellulite treatment, with over 1,800 women participating in the QWO® clinical trials.

Unlike cellulite reduction treatment that involves cosmetic surgery or laser treatments, there is typically no recovery or downtime associated with QWO®. You can expect injection site bruising or swelling in the days following treatment but this will resolve quickly. Other side effects may include warmth in the treatment area, itching, redness, discoloration, and areas of hardness that should resolve quickly.
