What is PRP Hair Restoration?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Hair Restoration harnesses the power of growth factors found in the plasma of your own blood to stimulate new hair growth in balding or thinning areas of the scalp. The addition of fibrin matrix to our PRP, holds the injected plasma rich platelets in place for 7-10 days after treatment, allowing for the full expression of the PRP’s powerful hair growth factors.
How PRP Hair Restoration Works
PRP Hair Restoration works by first drawing a small amount of blood, typically from the arm, into vials. This collected blood is then spun in a centrifuge, separating the platelets from the red blood cells. When injected into the scalp, the powerful concentration of growth factors found in the PRP portion of the blood promotes hair growth. A series of treatments is often required for best results.

What Areas can be Treated?
PRP Hair Restoration can be used to treat thinning and balding hair on the scalp of both men and women and may be combined with our NeoGraft hair transplant procedure for compelling results.
What do Treatments Feel Like?
Like all injection procedures, you may have some temporary discomfort during the blood draw and subsequent injections. Some patients describe a stinging sensation when the PRP is injected into the scalp. To make your experience as comfortable as possible, we offer Pro-Nox, an analgesic delivery system to ease pain and anxiety during treatment.

PRP Hair Restoration Safety & Recovery
As PRP is derived from one’s own blood, it is very safe for use and does not cause allergic reactions.
There may be some redness, bruising and tenderness of the scalp for our Lexington PRP hair restoration patients following the treatment. This typically resolves quickly.
What’s Unique About PRP Hair Restoration at Aspire Med Spa
Advanced Technology!
Aspire Med Spa uses the Selphyl® Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) System for the safe and rapid preparation of the superior Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM). Many PRP systems have varying results and extensive contamination with red blood cells and white blood cells. Selphyl removes virtually all contaminating cells and PRP is converted to PRFM through a controlled process. This preparation maintains the platelets at the site of injection so their release of growth factors can be sustained over a longer period of time than traditional PRP systems, giving you powerful hair restoration results. Think of Selphyl PRFM as the next generation PRP.
Unparalleled training!
Aspire Med Spa’s highly trained technicians have all undergone extensive and continued educational training with our own internal world-class credentialing. And we strive to provide the best PRP Hair Restoration Lexington has to offer.
